Following the successful completion of my 100 mile challenge in 2011, I have decided to undertake the same 100 miles of running races between June and November 2013, but this time a bit quicker……

 

The races are as follows: -

-  Run Jersey Half Marathon - 13 miles (June 2013 – completed 1hr 40mins)

-  ITEX Walk (with a lot of running) - 48 miles (June 2013 – completed 10hrs 35mins)

-  Jersey Marathon - 26 miles (October 2013 – completed 3hrs 59mins)

-  Jersey East Coast Half Marathon 13 miles (November 2013 – target sub-1hr 50)

 

I am taking on this challenge in memory of my Dad and will be raising money for the Jersey Heart Support Group (affiliated to the British Heart Foundation) that was formed by people living with heart conditions in Jersey, with the aim to provide mutual support to others.

 

The group has a common aim to carry on where hospital rehabilitation leaves off and continue to battle against cardiac conditions. Many people participating in rehabilitation experience the benefits of being involved in a group and it is this element that the JHSG wishes to extend and develop.
