<p>Hello all and thanks for visiting my Just Giving page in support of Action against hunger, a fantastic charity that literally saves lives in some of the poorest countries in the world.</p> <p>In September 2012 I will be starting the first of 6 walks that span the distance between John O Groats (the most northerly point in Scotland) and Lands End (the most southernly point of England). On all the walks I'll be carrying over a stone and a half of back pack and will be entirely on my own, so if anything goes wrong I'll only have me and what whits I have to rely on. I also suffer from knee ligament damage so these walks will be a real challenge to me, but a challenge I'm really looking forward to.</p> <p>The first walk is between John O Groats and Inverness, a distance of around 125 miles, and I'll be walking this over 5 days.</p> <p>If you know me you may remember me walking the 146 miles between Blackpool and Scarborough in May 2009 with a group of friends, and you may recall as I collapsed on the beach in Scarborough that I said 'never again.'</p> <p>Well where's the fun in that? I like a challenge and this walk is something that's always intrigued me.
