On Saturday 09th of October, I will be climbing up the Santa Maria Volcano in Guatemala, to raise funds for Study Guatemala and to mark the anniversay of my mum's death 10 years ago. It should take between 5-6 hours to reach the summit (that's if I make it to the summit!!!) and this does depend on how I deal with the altitude, as although I’m now accustomed to the high altitude of Quetzaltenango which is 2335m above sea level, at 1500m higher than Quetzaltenango.
