I've been lucky enough to work as primate care staff at Monkey World and I've got to know so many gorgeous apes and monkeys with very sad pasts who now have fun happy natural lives there. For example, Kyko the chimp in the bachelor boys who started his life as a photographer's prop with his feet being forced into roller skates on a daily basis - somehow he has managed to retain a gentle nature and is one of the sweetest people I know.
