As some of you may know my daughter Aine was diagnosed with 3 Congenital Heart Defects shortly after birth (bit of an attention seeker like her mother!)

The most serious of these defects will require open heart surgery and will mean that she will be under cardiac care for the rest of her life.

As a family we have just really started along this journey and are very very lucky that Aine is currently  well. Long may this continue!

We do recognise that we will, need support and education as time goes on and thats where the Childrens Heart Association comes in. This charity will directly help Aine, and other children (and teenagers who are often forgotton) as they grow up and deal with the challenges of living with CHD.

So what does the Childrens Heart Association Do?

I have also manged to rope Gill and Amanda into the fun!!
