The staff of The University of Edinburgh Hospital for Small Animals are amazing; they work with care, compassion and expertise and we can't praise them highly enough. We were so grateful to spend an extra year with the beautiful Sir Hamish and we had this gift because of their care. Despite their best efforts, Hamish passed away, but we'll always remember the care and love he received at the Hospital.
In memory of that fearless, cheerful, characterful little Westie who has helped to raise funds for Westies all over the world, we would like to thank those he so loved at the hospital and help other poorly pets by funding a veterinary intern for the Intensive Care Unit who will work with those most in need and will share their expertise and learning with the veterinary students from all around the world who train here and return to their home countries having learned more than just science!
This fundraising is in memory of Sir Hamish and we hope it will establish the Sir Hamish McTavish Intensive Care Intern position at the Hospital for Small Animals so many others can receive first class care directly and also indirectly through their training and mentoring.
