British Skin Foundation Skin Cancer Appeal , 25 April 2017
We Raise funds for skin disease research to help millions of sufferers in the UK

Story

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK, and rates continue to rise. At least 100,000 new cases are now diagnosed each year, and the disease kills over 2,500 people each year in the UK - that's seven people every day.

There is currently no cure for the disease, and treatments are limited once it's spread beyond its original site. We want to change that.

It Takes 7 is a fundraising campaign set up to raise as much money as possible to fund research into skin cancer. 100% of every pound raised will go towards vital research, so every donation really will take us one step closer to finding a cure.

We want It Takes 7 to make people realise that skin cancer is a serious disease that can affect anyone. Even more so, we want people whose lives have been touched by skin cancer to come together and support one another in the fight against the disease. It is about celebrating the positive impact that groups of people can make when they pull together for a cause.
