Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In December 2011 our daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Since then she has been receiving excellent care and treatment at the Oncology Unit in the Children's Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

LATCH Welsh Children's cancer charity is based at the Children's Hospital and aims to support the children and their families who are being treated in the Oncology Unit. There are many ways in which it helps, from the provision of on-site accommodation and a social work service to financial assistance through grants and emotional support. LATCH also organises a range of activities and treats to help boost the morale of the children during their long stays in hospital. Finally, LATCH supports the Paediatric Oncology Unit directly (Sky and Space wards) through the purchase of equipment and a range of clinical projects aimed at making the lives of children more comfortable on the wards and ensuring they are getting the best clinical support when they are at home.

We should be very grateful if you would support our family and friends who have recently completed a 140 mile bike ride from Pembrokeshire to Cardiff to raise funds for LATCH.

We have had the privilege of seeing the tremendous work LATCH does and would like to show our appreciation for the support they have given us, as well as other families, and to help them to continue their good work.

Thank you.
