Yetagain our hopes for a glimmer of any good news were blown away in a blink of aneye.
Sadlyboth types of Leukaemia have returned, the most recent sample shows it iscurrently already at10 % in blood samples (5% ALL & 5% AML) in what we nowknow to be less than 2 weeks. This is without doubt clear signs of veryaggressive Leukaemic cells. No further treatments are advised. Palliative care starts from here on, yes thisis a truly horrendous disease but we will make the most of every moment that wehave with Our Beautiful Princess Skye xxx and continue to help raise awarenessand raise funds with an aim to help find a cure one day. Update....Re-diagnosed 10/02/2014
UPDATE 10/02/2014...Today we got the results back from Skye's Bone Marrow Test. Unfortunately these results are not what we hoped.
Skye's Doctor has advised that Skye not only has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia she is also battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This is known as Biphenotypic Acute Leukemia. Skye is considered High risk and will need a bone Marrow Transplant.
This came as a huge shock as Skye seems to be coping so well with the treatment so far.
We are happy that she is at LGI and is receiving the best possible treatment ! Looking at her Smile we just know she can get through anything! Big THANK YOU TO ALL who have donated so far, PLEASE, remember to use GIFT AID, as every penny counts.
