No Speech for Smartbox 2015, 28 October 2016
We campaign for those who have no speech to improve communication and understanding

Story

We are a UK based family business that creates and supplies assistive technology across the world. Our dedicated team are out on the road meeting incredible people every day, while our friendly support team help users of our technology over the phone and online. We have witnessed first hand the life-changing work charities do for users of assistive technology and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). None more so than Communication Matters, the UK arm of the International Society of AAC (ISAAC). Tirelessly raising awareness and advocating the rights of people who have little or no speech, Communication Matters are a lifeline and source of information for many individuals, their families and the professionals supporting them every day.

October is AAC Awareness Month and so we have decided to hold a No Speech for Smartbox Day annually, at this time of year. We plan to expand on this and organise more events throughout the year, to raise awareness and funds for Communication Matters. And so our online fundraising journey begins...
