St Wilfrids is an amazing Hospice in East Sussex providing end of life care for all kinds of people, with all kinds of stories, and with all kinds of needs.  It is bright, welcoming and surprisingly cheerful to all who visit.  As volunteers we have been incredibly impressed by the difference it makes to the families that have needed their help, and so any small contribution we can make to support their constant requirement for funds will be worthwhile.  This of course includes Carole going without much of her support system of make-up and clothes, as we (Mike) will be carrying all our kit for the trip.  Mike will also be carrying Carole up all the hills (and there are some big ones) and rolling her down the other side.

We are spending the next couple of months in training as we will be walking the 100 miles from Winchester to Eastbourne, during which time we will take 200,000 steps (probably a lot more for Carole) and climb 7,000 feet (exactly twice the height of Snowdon).
