We raise awareness of Sjögren's Syndrome to fund research and support sufferers.

Story

Mum passed away suddenly in summer 2010 from pneumonia and losing her was a terrible wrench. She is sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

Mum suffered for many years with complications arising from coeliac disease including Sjogrens Syndrome which is a poorly understood autoimmune disorder for which there is little effective treatment, and which causes pain and discomfort to the skin, eyes and salivary glands. Like many others with the condition mum also had arthritis and lung problems.

I hope you will join with me in making a donation however small to the BSSA to help raise awareness and fund research into this disabling condition.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. About the charity

Sjögren’s Syndrome is debilitating, distressing, under recognised and under treated. Glands that produce tears and salvia or secretions of the vagina, skin and bowel stop working, it causes muscle or joint pain, low mood and extreme fatigue. The BSSA supports sufferers and raises awareness.
