Child Action Lanka works with Children all over Sri Lanka. It helps kids who live on the streets, who are abused, bereaved and homeless. It opens doors to an education, offers a square meal and most importantly provides a loving environment to give hope and self esteem. Their day to day existence is unimaginable and CAL helps to break the cycle of dysfunction, supporting often very damaged parents and creates a haven for their children. They have had amazing results and it is humbling to see such dedication from carers and volunteers.

The building in Kandy is up for sale. Property in SL is going up and up. Unless CAL can secure this building in the next few months then CAL Kandy itself will be homeless. This is not a unique story but as in every case a little can go such a long way. Having seen these children and seen what a huge difference the centre makes to their lives I am shamelessly going to fundraise and if things go really well SHAVE MY HEAD!!
