Story

My story starts 12 February 2011, I got diagnosed with Crohns. It's an autoimmune disease where your white blood cells attack, instead of protect, your small and large bowl. It's a pretty gruesome disease, but in one of those silver linings stories it's really helped me learn about myself; my ability to withstand pain, uncomfortable procedures, but most importantly it's helped me to understand what matter - people!

This is why I am running the Royal parks half marathon. I really want to help other people. i have helped myself nows the time for everyone else.

So with this in mind I chose to run the half marathon in aid of MTV staying alive. A pretty fantastic charity that helps save the lives of people, across the world, suffering from another autoimmune disease, HIV.

As with most things, I can't do this alone so why not help me help them.

If you're up for this please sponsor me to do this run.

Also I have my amazing team running with me: SJ, Jonny, Katie and Adam. Together we will be unstoppable just like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Blaze and the monsters machines.

Really stoked to be running with such great people. Half Marathon here we come!

Many thanks

Sophie
