In a moment of madness I found myself signing up to take part in this year's Chester Half Marathon. Having refused to take part in anything even approximating to running since leaving school, this came as something of a shock, and source of hilarity to anyone who knows me well. 

I decided that if there was going to be any chance of making it happen, I needed to pick a cause to raise money for that was incredibly worthwhile. It was an easy decision to choose the Emily Ffion Trust, who raise money to support suddenly bereaved families through the unexpected loss of a child.
