Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Sophie's JustGiving page.
Sophie was diagnosed with stage 4, high-risk Neuroblastoma in April 2009 at the age of the 2. The disease was significantly advanced, and her chance of survival was low, as this disease is the biggest single cancer killer of under 5's. Despite this, Sophie cleared the disease at the end of 2010 following her treatment which included induction chemotherapy, high-dose chemotherapy, surgery to remove the tumour, radiotherapy, and antibody therapy.
In November 2011 we received the devasting news that the disease had relapsed. Sophie went on to amaze everyone over the following 9 months, but tragically passed away on 5th August 2012.
Sophie was truly an amazing little girl, lighting up the lives of everybody who had the fortune to know her. She was the most loving little girl imaginable, and we will all miss her desperately.
In memory of Sophie, please donate to help The Neuroblastoma Society fund research and clinical trials to improve the chance of survival from this disease.
