Story
Most of you will know that on Christmas eve 2012 my son Jacob who was 3 years old at the time was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. He endured almost 3 and a half years of chemotherapy and is now cancer free. We have met many other families throughout our journey; some of whom have not been as fortunate as us. Jacob's leukaemia is the most common form of childhood cancer. Sadly, there are other more rare conditions for which the prognosis is poor. Large, well-known cancer charities focus very little funds on childhood cancers specifically; so smaller charities such as Friends of Rosie are vital in making the much needed progress to improve the treatment optionsm for children with cancer.
