Story
On 30 October 2016, I will join an international group of cyclists in Israel to ride over 300 kilometres over 5 days from near Tel Aviv to Eilat alongside Israel’s wounded heroes.
My goal in this journey is to raise funds primarily for the extensive tandem and hand biking programs at Beit Halochem, as well as to show my personal commitment to these heroes. This cycling event ('Courage in Motion') supports more than 50,000 disabled veterans and victims of terror who have been wounded while defending the State of Israel.
Beit Halochem Centres in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Nahariya and Beer Sheva ensure that the injured and their families receive the help they need and deserve in order to return to productive and fulfilling lives.
These Centres boast an array of exceptional rehabilitative services including: physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, therapeutic devices, specialised equipment, sport coaching and cultural activities.
I hope that you will support Israel's disabled veterans by making a donation on my behalf to this Courage in Motion bike ride. Not only do I think this is an extremely worthwhile charity, but this will also be my 1st cycle event and so will be a real personal challenge to me also.
You should also know that I am personally covering 100% of the costs for this trip, and so EVERY PENNY I raise will go to the charity (other than the Just Giving Fee, and so if you would rather give me a cheque made payable to 'Beit Halochem' then that would be great also).
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - every donation is really appreciated!
