Story
Finley Walpole is the son of Sally and Aaron who are both Firefighters in Control and Fareham respectively. He is five years old and has just been diagnosed with Leukemia. He is going to need several years of chemotherapy treatment and is being a very brave boy.
Blue Watch Fire Control will be doing a 24 hour static bike ride in the Appliance Bay gym at SHQ to raise money for the ‘Piam Brown’ ward at Southampton General Hospital and the QA Hospital, both of which are treating Finley.
We will be cycling from 10am on the 25 and finishing (tired and weary) at 10am on the 26. The plan is to have two static bikes continuously pedalled by Blue Watch Control with a third available for guest riders – by giving a donation you can book a half hour slot with us, so come and join us get fit!For those of you who do not have the pedal power and would like to sponsor us please donate via our just giving website page.
If anybody would like to pop in and support us on the day please do we will need the motivation, as the majority of us will be well out of our comfort zone!, You will also be able to donate cash on the day if that is easier for you. We hope to have a constant flow of tea and cake available, we would love to see you.
So please give generously and help us raise money for this worthy cause.
