What are we doing?19 Members from our local team - Thatcham Tornadoes Football Club, will be shaving our heads on Saturday 15th November.
Where are we doing it?
The Hilton Newbury have kindly offered us a function suite to hold the event. We will be shaving our heads, having an auction and a raffle, and then dancing the night away with a live acoustic set and a DJ. If you are interested in joining or if you have anything to donate for the raffle/ auction then please get in touch.
Why are we doing it?
Unfortunately cancer will affect us all in one way or another at some point in our lives. At the age of 25, my fiancée Amy had her world turned upside down when she found a lump which was later diagnosed as Breast Cancer. Even in such frightful circumstances, Amy has remained positive and was persistent in raising awareness of Cancer in young people. As a team, to support Amy, we thought what better way to raise awareness than shaving our heads! We will be the meanest looking team in Sunday League Football!
What do we want to?
- Raise Awareness of Cancer in Young People
- Raise £5000 to Support Cancer Research
- Stand Up To Cancer!
Would it please you more if you got to shave the head of the chosen TTFC Member? Please place your bid in the form of a donation and state who's head you would like to shave! The highest bidder will take the clippers!
Participants will be: Jon Chard, Andrew Corcoran, Tom Holden, Kyle Andrews, Lloyd Collicot, Simon Macca, Chris Corcoran, Tom Birch, Nathan Holden, Rob Wellman, Lewis Newton,Wayne Richens, Will Playfair, Paul Graham, Steve Lee, Dave Guy, Callum Bush, Keith Petch and Byron Smith.
