We Raise funds to Enhance learning in our special school

Story

We are a group of young people doing NCS. We have been given the challenge of raising money for Ashmount School.

The school helps children with special needs and allows them to learn the same information as any other children but tailors the learning for specific needs as some students may have difficulties communicating in certain ways. The school are currently planning a new building which they hope to move into at the start of next year but however do not have enough funds to fully equip every room.

We are planning a six legged race including two teams of five which will be held at bradgate park. Each team has been given the challenge to raise as much money as they can before the event and the team with the most money raised will get a headstart whichs length will depend on the amount of money raised. The team which loses will be made to do a forfit for the amusement of the public who have come to watch the race take place.

If you have any preference on which team you would like to sponsor please state it. Whoever you are sponsoring will tell you the name of their team.

We know it is hard to part with your money but if it was your child who needed the help that this school can give you would want people to help. We have visited the school and being honest it isn't in a great condition but we can see they are doing the best they can with everything they have and they will really appreciate the new location which you will be helping to make the best possible. Even if it is just a pound every little amount makes the difference and we thank you for that.

On Tuesday 20th August we will be located at the South Wigston market.

On Thursday 22nd August we will be located at the United Reformed Church on Frederick Street in Loughborough.

The rest of the week we will hopefully be located around Loughborough town.

Each day we will be selling raffle tickets, cakes, the cook book that Ashmount School have created and many more interesting things along with collecting sponsors for the main event on Friday so come and have a look and see what's going on!
