Over the Hills and Far Away - A walk for Candida , 1 May 2017
We focus on early diagnosis to get more patients diagnosed for surgery.

Story

"Candida, my wife died 18 months ago from pancreatic cancer. Beautiful, funny and kind, she braved it out for nine months after she was told she had the disease. She always felt that journeys were to be enjoyed to the maximum and hang the destination. She rode her horses and carted with her friend Claire for over 2000 miles throughout her beloved England."

- Rupert Lycett
Green

On the 1st May 2016, Rupert and his lovely little dog Spot will be walking 140 miles from Yorkshire towards Scotland following the exact route that Mark Palmer and Candida rode in 2001.  The route was described in detail in Candida's book Over the Hills and Far Away. Spot will be trotting and Rupert walking to raise money for the charity, Pancreatic Cancer Action and to re-connect with Ruperts home county of Yorkshire, and the North.

Rupert says,
" Anyone wishing to join Spot and me and, from time to time, other Lycett Greens, whether for an hour, a day or longer will be extremely welcome!"
