We are a group from St Philip's (formerly city:base) who are going on a mission trip to Romania. A few of us have been to Networks on short mission trips before and they are doing an amazing work among the poor! When we are there we will basically be available to do whatever is needed. As well as working with Roma Gypsies, Networks also host a youth conference called Drumfest. Whilst out there we will be helping with some of the practicals of setting this up as well as getting involved with some of the festival.

We estimate the cost of the trip will be around £450 per person and we are going to fund-raise this through activities and charity events as well as individual sponsors.

NetWorks is an international, inter-denominational, Christian mission working amongst some of the poorest of the poor in northwest Romania; and as a group of people are looking to see both physical and spiritual transformation in the communities where they work.

'The aim of NetWorks is to try to help alleviate poverty and enable transformation in individuals and communities by meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We provide crisis help, encourage self help programs, we run play school and after school programs and encourage micro-enterprises and employment. We run a wide range of crisis programs. These include helping to pay for medication, urgent repairs to homes, firewood in the winter and we distribute tons and tons of flour each month so that families can make bread.'
