As some of you may already know, I am a big fan of our orange cousins, the orangutans, and on the 11th September I will be raising money for them by taking part in the Great North Run.

Last year Charlotte and I visited Borneo. We were fortunate enough to see a few in the wild, and even more up close and personal at Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre.

Orangutans are endangered; their habitat is shrinking around them and every day the struggle to survive gets a little harder. Without help from us, these great apes stand no hope and we are sure to see them extinct in the not too distant future.

Orangutan Appeal UK are working hard to redress the balance and create safe spaces for orangutans to rebuild their decimated populations.

Please help me raise my fundraising target of two hundred pounds and you'll make me and the orangutans very happy!
