Time is Precious is a charity started by Neil and Nicky Halford in memory of their son, Ben. I was Ben's consultant for most of the time he was ill, and we worked closely together, trying to cure his tumour. Sadly, this was not possible, and Ben passed away in October 2010

Since then, Neil and Nicky have worked tirelessly, raising money to help others in a similar situation. Always thinking how to do the most good, they have focussed their work on providing support and resources for the play therapy departments in the three hospitals where Ben was treated - the Royal United Hospital in Bath, Frenchay Hospital, and Bristol Children's. They have already done wonders for these departments, which had suffered excessively from financial cutbacks.

Neil and Nicky have built a great team around them, friends who give their time freely because they recognize a good cause and good people working well. I was honoured that they asked me to be a patron, alongside much more illustrious company. Have a look here to see:
