Story

On Monday 22nd August my beautiful 22 year old daughter, Helen Sheridan-Smith, underwent nine hours of surgery at Royal Hallamshire Hospital to remove part of a brain tumour.

To facilitate surgery Helen was required to have part of her head shaved. I offered to have mine shaved to support her and realised that we could, hopefully, raise funds for the Neurological critical care unit to help them purchase specialist equipment to continue to provide the excellent care that they provided to Helen.

To our relief Helen has now been advised that the tumour was non malignant and she has been discharged from hospital to recuperate at home.

The neurosurgery and critical care unit is a centre of excellence and treats people from all over the country and desperately needs funds to contine to provide the very best of care.
