Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you will know we lost Dad last year very suddenly. Dad died from an overwhelming infection following a prostate biopsy. Dad was a great selfless man who always gave his time to helps others in all walks of his life.
On the 20th September it will be a year since such a tragic day. With time it feels only right to spend the day doing something positive for others in Dads memory.
With the help of some great friends, Simon Bell, Dave Winchurch, Andy Talbot, Darren Green, Danny Verrall, Steve Sewell, Mike Haycox, Terry Harper, James Harper, Ben Smith and others we have organised to climb Snowdon 4 ways on the 20th September. Starting at daybreak we will set off up Snowdon to the summit coming down a different route, then returning to the summit along again a different path, finally then returning to our original location using a different path. We are hoping to complete this within 8 hours, a brisk walk should take 9-11 hours so this is a real challenge..
Dad was a keen supporter of Severn Hospice and I can't think of a better charity to support with our first challenge. We hope that this will become an annual event with the challenges growing with ambition year on year.
Thank you to all that donate or join us (anyone that wishes to join us is more than welcome), words are not enough to describe how much it means to me to have the opportunity to remember Dad with great friends creating new memory's helping others.
Love you Dad x
