Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

This September I will be cycling from London to Brighton to raise funds and awareness for EJF's campaign to Save the Seas.

EJF protects people and planet. For the past 15 years, we have investigated and exposed threats to environmental security and abuses of human rights. Right now, we are fighting to end  illegal pirate fishing and slavery in Asia and West Africa. Illegal fishing kills marine wildlife including turtles, dolphins, seabirds and sharks, decimates fish stocks and undermines the resource that millions of vulnerable people depend upon for food and income. As the fish and profits disappear, pirate fishing fleets resort to using slave labour, people trafficked onto boats where they endure a life of brutality and hardship.

EJF's work is simple, direct and effective. Your sponsorship will be used to great effect to protect our global seas and oceans and the people and wildlife dependent upon them.

Please sponsor me and help us to do so much more.

Thank you for your support.  Steve

About the charity

EJF works in some of the world's most difficult and remote countries to protect vulnerable communities, wildlife and wild places. Our campaigns have led to action on forced labour and human trafficking, national and global bans on deadly pesticides and arrests of illegal 'pirate' fishing trawlers.
