Story
In aid of the British Heart Foundation
A sponsored journey from the north boundary of the Lake District National Park to the south boundary finishing at Cartmel.
All the Group members are aware of "Katie" who spent nine months in Harefield Hospital last year dangerously ill awaiting a heart transplant.
Her wish was fulfilled and it is now a year this September since the transplant and she is doing well. She was so lucky. So many others died and so many others are hanging on in hospital hoping.
"Katie" is now your ambassador for this event.
We also now have the assistance of 'Barbara' from the BHF who will look after the supply of sponsor forms, Tee shirts etc.
We are fund raising and making more people aware about organ donorship.
