Knowing that the heart is not just a well known symbol of love but an incredibly complex organ, we as medical students studying at Riga Stradins University and University of Latvia in Riga, Latvia, truly love the outstanding work that Save a Child's Heart (SACH) is doing.

SACH provides life-saving cardiac surgery and other lifesaving procedures, holds preoperative and follow up cardiology clinics, offers a comprehensive training program for doctors and nurses from developing countries, and leads surgical and teaching missions to their partner countries.

To date, they have saved the lives of over 3,400 children from Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, and throughout the Middle East.
