Fundraising for The Monthly Alzheimer's Support Evenings (MASE)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in summer 2015: he's doing OK, but it's one of those things that you never want to have to read about to understand what the disease actually is and what it means will happen.
Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.
Alzhiemer's has a massive impact, not only on the person who has the disease, but on their family and the people that care for them.
The Monthly Alzheimer's Support Evening (MASE) is a charity that runs monthly support evenings aroudn where I live in Haughton, Rugeley, Cannock, Hednesford and Stafford.
Many carers experience social isolation, and this is especially true when caring for someone with a dementia type illness. The MASE help to reduce this problem and the Carers themselves are able to exchange telephone numbers and build up a network of friends who are in similar situations.

The services that they offer are invaluable to local carers of people with Alzheimer's. and they rely on donations to continue to provide this opportunity for carers to get together to support each other.
I'm running to raise money for the MASE so that they can continue to do their amazing work Any donations that are made are gratefully accepted. I'm attempting to complete the Centurion Running Grand Slam, four 100 miles ultras in one year:
- Thames Path 100: 30th April - 1st May
- South Downs Way 100: 11th - 12th June
- North Downs Way 100: 6th - 7th August
- Autumn 100: 15th - 16th October.
I can't guarantee that i will complete the Slam, but i can guarantee that I'll give it my all to get around each one !
