Kissing the Blarney Stone is my own personal challenge. People who know me... know how afraid of heights I am. Its something I've always wanted to achieve  but been too afraid to do. That was the old me.... the new me WILL pucker up and kiss that stone to raise money for the IIH foundation.

I developed Intracranial Hypertension after a head injury following a physical assault whilst at work 5 years ago.  It took me 8 months to become diagnosed and a further 3 years to find a consultant willing to listen long enough to take my symptoms seriously. That was until the optic nerves in my eyes became so affected by the pressure building up inside my head that my vision was by this time seriously affected. Without the IIH foundation support and links with other sufferers of this rare condition I wouldn't have had the information or support I needed - particularly over the last two years - to fight my own corner with regard to appropriate assessment , treatment and monitoring of this horrible condition.

I have recently had pioneering brain stent surgery with favourable results and am so grateful to my neurosurgeon for his expertise and care of me during my procedures. However more needs to be done to support this charity who support people with IIH.

So please help me reach my goal by donating.
