Although I have always loved horses,  my commitment was enhanced by the stubborn mare pictured in my profile . She made me laugh  and cry , was my best friend, but was capable of driving me to distraction .  When she died I didn't ride for 16 years . 

In 2013 , I changed my world . After walking down Snowdon with my daughter and falling over due to being overweight and unfit , I joined a slimming world club and after a while begun riding again at Brook Farm Stables . Into my world came Steps and Bella . The same year I visited The Horses Trust , an amazing place with fantastic caring people and I believe well worth cycling to Paris for .

So, 4 weeks before my 59th birthday and possibly 2 knee replacements in the very near future , I will go the 237 miles for them .
