Hi, as most of you are aware I was born and bred in Galway. I've spent most my summers in the waters of blackrock and after a very long absence I've recently been re-introduced to open water swimming, and for some crazy reason I've decided to do the Galway Bay Swim.

This is a 13km swim from Aughinish in Co. Clare to Blackrock Diving Tower in Salthill.

This is the toughest and scariest thing I will ever do, and would not be possible without the support of my family and friends. 

Cancer Care West is an amazing charity which provides support to anyone affected by cancer. Their aim is to enhance patient care and well being to patients and their families. Please see www.cancercarewest.ie for more information.
