Story
I am doing a 45km trek in 9 days on The Great Wall of China in memory of my late son Taylor - The inspiration behind Taylor Made Dreams.
When I wrote out Taylor's bucket list with him two years before he passed away, I didn't expect what I heard "I want to ride a motorbike on The Great Wall of China", I knew he was ambitious but really? From a mothers point of view, as you can imagine, I was a tad worried about how I was going to make this dream come true! Sadly, although Taylor did manage to tick off most of his list, there were still a few things he didn't get to experience before he passed away.
Well I have decided to do this bucket list item on his behalf, although I'll be travelling not by motorbike but by foot! I will be taking some of Taylor's ashes with me on this journey and sprinkling some of his love dust high in the skies in China.
In September it will be 5 years since Tay left and he would have been 20 years old, probably at university studying sports journalism or economics. He isn't here sadly, his legacy is, and I want to raise £5,000 to support Taylor Made Dreams in continuing the work it does in Taylor's name.
Huge thanks to Qubit Interior Solutions for sponsoring this fundraising event. A very generous and altruistic act of kindness which is deeply appreciated.
No charitable funds are used for salaries at Taylor Made Dreams, the charity is run purely by volunteers.
Please support my challenge if you can and spread the word, let's remember Taylor together, he may not be here physically, but he still creates smiles in the eyes of children with illness for miles around.
Thank you for your support, it means so much.
