Story
Hello, thank you so much for visiting the Swindon Cares Half Marathon fund raising page.
Zurich Community Trust (ZCT) is a charity that has supported the Swindon Cares annual fundraising appeal (over £220k raised since 2003) and is part of the committee that chose charities DASH and Hop Skip & Jump as our beneficiaries for 2015 & 2016.
ZCT supports over 600 charities in the UK and overseas every year, working to improve the lives of over 100,000 disadvantaged people.
We have set this page up under Zurich Community Trust and this is where your donation will go initially. All monies raised via this page will then be split equally, by ZCT, between DASH and Hop skip & Jump. For some of us this is a massive challenge, as some struggle to even run for a bus. So some may be doing the multi-terrain race (5 miles) or indeed accompanying a grandchild on the ‘FUN RUN' (2miles)
DASH was launched in 2006 with the purpose and a determination to help improve the quality of life of local people with autism. It is estimated that the Swindon autism community comprises over 2,200 individuals, of whom 50% will have Asperger’s.
HS&J provide support for children with any additional need from complex physical conditions to special educational needs and behavioural problems.
Your sponsorship will really make a difference to these 2 wonderful charities.
Thank you
