Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

Why Blackfriars Settlement?

The Settlement is a based temporarily on Great Suffolk Street near Southwark station and it offers a wide range of services with particular focus on:

Mental Health – Creating opportunities for those with mental illnesses

Children & Young People - Building confidence and teaching new skills

Outreach for the Elderly – Providing a friendly and active social network

Basic Education & Legal Advice – Developing key skills to enhance employability

Why did we chose them?

There are a number of reasons why we think Blackfriars Settlement deserves our help:

They are a small local charity that tries to help the most vulnerable people in our community

We will make a real difference to a small grass roots charity

They are relocating to a new building so they’d really appreciate the extra funds to help them carry on providing adequate service for their members

The current economic climate has reduced financial support from other donors
