Story

We are three teachers hoping to raise lots of money for a great cause!!

The education of girls worldwide is incredibly important to us and our school is ensuring that girls in a small region of Ghana get the education they deserve. This has involved fundraising for and helping to build the Kyabobo School in Nkwanta.

Few women in Northern Ghana currently complete even the most basic education and 77% of adult women are illiterate. The Kyabobo School is greatly improving the achievement of girls: extending their education, enhancing their employment prospects, benefiting their families and building a better future for the entire community.

Micaela is part of the team of 16 pupils and 2 staff fundraising for the Ghana Education Project. The team will then visit Nkwanta in October 2016 and are fundraising for equipment and to support the school's development and expansion.

To help with fundraising, we decided to challenge ourselves, to get fit, and to complete our first triathlon as a team!

We would be extremely grateful for any donations big or small.

Thank you so much! From us, and all the girls in Ghana!

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela.
