Ever since I was six years old, I never really wanted birthday presents. I felt that I wanted to give something back to the world, rather than to receive.  So, instead of presents for me, I asked for donations to charity.

For the special occasion of my Bat Mitzvah, this is something I really want to do for my chosen charity of Zichron Menachem.  This amazing charity provides care and support for Israeli children with cancer.   They also collect hair which is made into wigs for children who have lost their own hair through chemotherapy.  In October 2011, we went to visit Zichron Menachem when Ruby and I donated our hair.  When we went, I realised what a beautiful centre it is and what amazing work they do.

Please help me to celebrate my Bat Mitzvah and support them!
