Story

Today I am attending an event organised by Southwark refugee groups to help raise awareness of their work and highlight the much needed 150k in funding cuts that they have suffered.

Throughout the organisation of this event I have been helping coordinate the social media.

Tomorrow, in previously completely unrelated circumstances, me and Kristy are running a half marathon. I've been avoiding thinking about this for a while and although some training runs have been done I am SERIOUSLY underprepared and need some extra encouragement.

This morning it (finally) dawned on me that what was going to be a very busy two days, could actually compliment each other pretty well...

So please donate money towards Southwark refugee services, and help them make up some of the funding they have lost to continue the important work that they do. The money raised will be divided between Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers, Southwark Refugee Project and Southwark Refugees Communities Forum.
