We, Team Asha-London, are a group of fitness enthusiasts who run/walk/cycle to fund-raise and support the cause of "Asha for education". Asha is a fully volunteer run organization striving to help and make a change in improving the education of underprivileged children in India.

This year, three of our team members are walking from London to Brighton - covering a whopping 100 kms! Please support their effort by your donations. Meet the team here!

Vidhya Sridhar: Last year I walked 50 kms in the Grand Union Challenge and, as promised, I am walking 100 kms from London to Brighton this year! We are planning to do this over two days with a camping stop halfway. I have been associated with Asha for almost 4 years now and would like to use this as a medium to fundraise for them. Please support me and my team! Any contributions, small or big, are welcome. :) Thank you!

Srividya Padmanabhan: I did this walk last year and felt a great sense of achievement completing it. I am doing another 50 km walk this year to fund raise for Asha, but this year our team has grown bigger. I am joined by Vidhya & Pradeep who are brave enough to do the 100 km. Please fund generously and help me fund raise for Puvidham - a project supported by Asha London. 

Pradeep Mishra: I am passionate about a balanced living through yoga, meditation and nutrition. I also love taking a walk in nature. Hence, joining 'Asha for education', a charity supporting education of the underprivileged in India, for my first '100 km charity walk' from London to Brighton in the UK, on 28-29th May 2016. No amount is too small or too big towards the donation :) Thanks in advance for your support and for your generous contribution towards this cause.

£15 pays for the education and nutritious snacks for one child for one month as well as textbooks and stationary supplies for the entire year.£20 covers all the expenses for one child in the hostel for one month (including the boarding and all three meals every day), pays for their education for one month and will also pay for the child's textbooks and stationary supplies for the entire year.

100% of your donation will be used for these children (NO OVERHEADS!), who are supported by Puvidham, an Asha London supported alternative education school based in a remote village near Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu. Puvidham provides education and hostel facilities to the children of farmers and migrant workers from the nearby villages.
