Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Last year Team Programming participated in the Big Ride for Africa, together with around 350 colleagues and business partners.
We cycled from London to Amsterdam and thanks to many of our (programming) partners, friends and family we managed to raise over Euro 45,000 for the Lessons for life Foundation. All riders combined raised over 1M Euro, enabling the foundation to send thousands of more kids in sub Saharan Africa to school. A fantastic result and one that really makes a difference!
This year we will ride again. The team will consist of the following Liberty Global Programming team members: Arien Verlaat, Cornelius Schauer, Dennis Bekenkamp, Greg Matson, Jeroen Bergman, Lukas Kernell, Paul Callington and Peter Fox.
This time the 273 kilometer / 170 miles route will take us from London to Mechelen in Belgium. Departure is on the 21st of June, arriving in Mechelen on the 22nd.
We have set our target and we are counting on all of you to help us achieve an even greater result for the Foundation and, most importantly, for the children in Sub-Saharan Africa. All of the money raised from The Big Ride for Africa will go towards Lessons for Life's Send Me to School appeal, which aims to raise £5 million to get 50,000 children in Sub Saharan Africa into school by the end of 2017. Please donate what you can to help us reach our target and help get kids learning.
