Story

Norfolk Super Hero - The ultimate challenge :

  • 1 mile open water (sea)
  • 4 mile kayak
  • 45 mile cycle
  • 8 mile run.

We have entered the 2016 Norfolk Super Hero, which is a quadrathlon taking place on June 25th 2016 on the North Norfolk coast.

We all need to complete all four sections of the challenge.

Each of us have pledged to raise £1500 for the East Anglia Air Ambulance, the events chosen charity. We love the East Anglia Air Ambulance (EAAA) because they are on standby 24/7/365 to come and rescue you when you are in a medical emergency. East Anglia is a large area served by a network of single track country roads which makes normal ambulance coverage virtually impossible.  EAAA do not just save the lives of residents of the area, visitors are regularly injured in road traffic accidents. EAAA could come and rescue YOU!

We currently have a target time of under seven hours, which is non-stop physical activity. Some say that it is harder than a marathon, others claim it cannot be completed! We are going to train hard throughout the winter, with the idea of being at peak fitness by the end of May. In 2015 we competed a number of sprint triathlons (swim, cycle and run) with a duration of approximately an hour, so we know what is involved (to an extent!).

Our fundraising target of £6000 is just one of the challenges attached to this event - we hope that you can help us - however large or small.
For those that do not know all of us, Charlotte and Lauchlan are married and live together in Lytham with their three little children. Matt lives Norfolk and was Lauchlan's best man. Claire is a London based architect and is Charlotte's best friend.

Thank you

Charlotte, Lauchlan, Matt and Claire.
