Story
Hi there!
The next challenge is coming up in a bit more than 5 weeks:
As it is now almost a tradition I am teaming up with my dad to raise funds for Positive Help. This year we are both running the half marathon at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival to celebrate the three years I have been volunteering with the charity and it is amazing to see how it has grown in such as short amount of time and expanded its services to help so many people.
A few words about Positive Help if you haven't heard of it before: it is a charity that helps people living with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C by providing them with different services: a driving service where volunteers cover lifts to medical appointments or big grocery shopping; a home support service where volunteers help the patients keeping their house at a healthy standard or also help with maintenance (paintings, etc.); homework support where volunteers are matched with children who they help keep up with their homework and befriending where volunteers are matched with children they see a fortnight to do different activities. They are always in need of more volunteers so if you want to find out more and help just visit their website: http://www.positivehelpedinburgh.co.uk
Or if you live somewhere else or can't volunteer yourself but want to support this great cause, here is an opportunity for you to contribute through donations. Any amount will be greatly appreciated and really makes a difference, the intention is what counts, thanks!!
