Team South Trekfest Challenge 2016
Fundraising for Down's Syndrome Association
Story
“Team South” are a group of property professionals, representing the Southern Region of Premier Estates’ portfolio. Premier Estates is an award winning, national Managing Agent, looking after residential properties throughout England and Wales.
The head of our team, Will, approached us recently suggesting a team-bonding experience that would bring us all even closer together.
The idea was to find an event that would allow us all to participate, spend time together and, most importantly, raise some money for a worthy cause.
After some deliberation, we opted for the Trekfest (Peak) Challenge, 2016. This requires a trek through the Derbyshire countryside, over the Peaks and Dales, taking in the scenery but also ensuring the "challenge" element of our quest was met.Trekfest offer 4 distances to complete and Team South opted for the shorter route, ensuring that all of us stand a better chance of completing the walk!Therefore, on September 3rd this year, Team South will be embarking on a 25k hike. We have varied fitness levels, some opting to spend many nights at the gym, others not so much! However, we are all united in our desire to complete the event together so, regardless, we will be working as a team to ensure that we all cross the finish line! (We understand there is free food, and a bar, this may encourage us somewhat!)Now for the important bit. This walk is being completed to raise much-needed funds for the Down's Syndrome Association, (www.downs-syndrome.org.uk), a charity that is close to our hearts. Please can you therefore consider a donation, however small, to help us on our way to raising funds to support all associated with this charity. We thank you in advance for all donations received, and will keep you updated on our progress prior to September 3rd.
