Team Stew have accepted a match play challenge from Ben Wallis, Junior Captain Warrington Golf club. Last year Ben raised a fantastic £1700 for St Roccos, with Team Stew chipping in with £100. This year Ben has set a par of £1500 for St Roccos and challenged Team Stew to match him and also raise £1500 - so £3k target between us.
Team Stew are doing 3 sponsored long distance cycle rides. 13th May - a 250 mile ride home from Cardiff, slicing through Wales to Warrington, with 3,800m of climbs through Brecon Becons and Black Mountains. Then 13th June driving through 300 miles of Portugal over 4 days. Finally Team Stew hole out with Coast-to-Coast over 2 days in September, 147 miles and climbing through the Lake & Peak districts. Team Stew are putting up with an average age of 51 and handicapped by average weight 14st - we have some small lads so just picture the big ones!! In the other corner, Ben is 16, fit as a butchers dog and anything he does must be easy in comparison to the age defying phenomenon that is Team Stew.
