Story

A team of 3 serving members of the Royal Dragoon Guards are running the toughest footrace on Earth, all in support the great work that is done by the Royal Dragoon Guards Association and the serving Regiment.

As a six-day, 254 km (156 mile) ultra-marathon, and the equivalent to six regular marathons (all with our kit on our backs for the entire route), the MdS really is the toughest footrace on Earth! That said, it still doesn’t compare to how tough daily life can be for serving soldiers and veterans alike. Both the serving Regiment (through its excellent Welfare department) and the Royal Dragoon Guards Association do so much to help members of the Regiment, past and present, as well as their families and friends. Be it supporting the family of a soldier who has been killed on service or supporting a soldier currently serving, the Royal Dragoon Guards Association and the serving Regiment will always help.
