Story

On July 10th myself (Kathie) and a team of approx 40 others we will take on Tough Mudder in Lough Crew Co.Kildare

Dubbed as Probably the toughest event on the planet
Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course designed to drag you out of your comfort zone by testing your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit.

We have been training hard for this and will be putting in alot of work in preparation for this event.

We want to raise vital funds for Pieta House in Tuam while undertaking this challenge. Pieta House only receives 10% of its funding from grants etc and rely heavily on fundraisers like this in order to keep its doors open to give support to those in desperate need of help.

For every 1k raised a person can receive a full course of therapy free using the service and that could mean a life is saved so we have no issues in give up one day of our lives to take on this tough obstacle course.

We ask for you our friends and family in return to support us in our quest to make a difference together with you and donate what ever you can to go directly to Pieta House to provide critical services for those in need

Many Thanks

About the charity

Pieta House, the centre for the prevention of self-harm or suicide opened its doors nearly a decade ago in Lucan, County Dublin. In the intervening years we have seen and helped almost 20,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm, and opened up eight subsequent centres.
