Story

On the 26th June TEAMDALE climbed the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis 4,406 feet) ENGLAND (Scafell 3,206 feet) and WALES (Mount Snowdon 3,560 feet) consecutively. The challenge was to complete within 24 HOURS including the travel between the peaks of over  500 MILES but we are proud to say that we completed in 18hrs and 42 mins and came in 2nd overall with a Gold medal.

We are still on a MISSION to raise funds to pay for a GP VOLUMETRIC PUMP which is used for controlling fluid flow when giving IV antibiotics or blood products to patients. Currently patients who need this facility have to leave the hospice and go back to hospital so three of these will make Pendleside's care more effective and the patients much more comfortable. We are guaranteeing one, aiming for two and hoping and praying to fundraise enough for all three!

All the team members are DALE staff with our team captain being our very own Fell running champion Andrew Braithwaite, ultra runner Andrew Graham who has already conquered the national three peaks along with another Six staff Nicky Green & Danny Green, Chris Tyson, Danny Kavanagh, Andrew Fairburn and Graham Odgers who are all novices in training!  All of the team finishes the full course along with 2 support staff/drivers to achieve their gold medals . Team driver is Graham Wilson and Nanny Dawn will be reserve driver, cook, brow mopper and bottle washer!
