Utter lunatics on the road, bikram-esque humidity at a balmy 35oC, the aggressive gradients of the Central Highlands and road surfaces that would leave their mark through even the densest of gusset supports, Vietnam sounds like an ideal place to cycle 1800km.
It was at the tail end of 2014 that the potential challenge of riding the length of Vietnam, between the country’s 2 major hubs, was conceived. The motivation for the ride was simple; to raise money for the Peter Westropp Memorial Trust and remember an incredibly special human. A year later, and the number of riders in the peloton is up to 9, supporting various charities, and with the three of us cycling for the PWMT.
Since Peter tucked out in 2012, an amazing array of events have contributed to raising the targeted £250,000 for the PWMT. For information about the ride and a blog that will be updated through the climax of our training and throughout the ride, please hit the link below, but before you head there, please donate here!
